 Apodemia duryi Mexican Metalmark

South-central New Mexico, western Texas, Chihuahua. Lightest orange of the members of the mormo complex. Probably does not occur with mormo or mejicanus.

 

 Apodemia mejicanus Sonoran Metalmark

Southwestern California, western and southern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, and Sonora; hindwing above orange, not dominated by black as in mormo. Probably does not occur with mormo or duryi.

Southwestern California and Baja California; flys in spring and early summer rather than summer and fall as in mormo; apparently does not occur with mormo.
